Adaptasi Nilai-nilai Budaya Lokal dalam Pendidikan: Studi Penggunaan Go’et dalam Pendidikan Agama Katolik

Abstract


Abstract. Local wisdom was practiced by traditional communities to shape human morals and character. The moral values of local wisdom were fostered through formal learning and habits in various traditions. However, the repertoire of local wisdom has not been widely used as a medium of learning in modern education. This paper tries to explore a local wisdom in Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara, namely proverb (go'et) that can be used in learning Catholic Religious Education in schools. The research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method. The results of the exploration show that there are important values that are directly related to the achievement of the core competencies of Catholic Religious Education, especially the First Core Competencies (Spiritual Attitudes) and Second Core Competencies (Social Attitudes). The values of local wisdom are very relevant to the basic Christian values that are promoted in Catholic Religious Education learning.

Abstrak. Kearifan lokal dipraktikan oleh masyarakat tradisional untuk membentuk moral dan karakter manusia. Nilai-nilai moral dari kearifan lokal tersebut dipupuk melalui pembelajaran formal maupun pembiasaan-pembiasaan dalam berbagai tradisi. Namun demikian, khasanah kearifan lokal belum banyak dimanfaatkan sebagai medium pembelajaran dalam pendidikan modern. Tulisan ini mencoba mengeksplorasi satu kearifan lokal dalam budaya Manggarai, Nusa Tenggara Timur, yakni ungkapan-ungkapan khas (go’et) yang dapat dimanfaatkan dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Katolik di sekolah. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil eksplorasi memperlihatkan bahwa ada nilai-nilai penting yang berhubungan secara langsung dengan pencapaian kompetensi inti Pendidikan Agama Katolik terutama Kompetensi Inti Pertama (Sikap Spiritual) dan Kompetensi Inti Kedua (Sikap Sosial). Nilai-nilai kearifan lokal tersebut sangat relevan dengan nilai-nilai dasar Kristiani yang dipromosikan dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Katolik.
